Dance With Me- “Press On”

Ok, so sometimes I like to dance. Not in public…not at a dance studio…not at the club. But usually in my car. And sometimes at home.

Anyways… l love this song by Building 429 called “Press On” and it’s great “car dancing” music. So listen and enjoy…and dance with me!

P.S. Disclaimer: I have never actually been to the club nor do I plan to go. That’s not my thing. (I just wanted to put that out there in case anyone thought “not at the club” meant that, although I do not dance there, I do go to the club. I do not. ha)

Grace

grace

“Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:” (Romans 5:20)

“For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.” (Romans 6:14)

I recently read an article about a website called One Word 365. The author says she decided to do away with New Year’s resolutions all together and focus on one word for the year that she wanted to incorporate into her daily life. Her word was brave.

As I read the post, I knew right away what word I would choose: grace. I want to give more grace…to myself and mostly to others. If I make a mistake or say something I shouldn’t, I am usually pretty quick to justify my actions- I’ve had a bad day or my morning started off rough or I forgot an important deadline. But when another person (whether it be friend, family, or enemy,) does something that doesn’t quite agree with me, I am usually pretty quick to accuse and reprimand…or even bite her head off! But honestly, I do NOT want to be like that…I don’t think any of us do.

If you look up the word “grace” in the dictionary, there are many beautiful ways to use it! Some of my favorites are: mercy, pardon, favor, goodwill, elevate, kindness, and compassion. I even like the definition for grace that means beauty, charm, decency, and pleasantness.

Give grace.

Give mercy.

Give favor.

Give kindness.

Give compassion.

Give beauty.

Give decency.

Where sin or offence abounds, grace can much more abound. I know I sure want grace when I mess up and others would appreciate the same from me.

So what’s your word today? Whatever it is, write it on the tables of your heart and literally write it down! Post it all around you…at work, at home, at school. Pretty soon you’ll start hearing it everywhere you go. And if you want, you can choose my word and give grace with me today, too.
